US Botanical Garden Photoshoot // Washington DC

Last July I had the chance to shoot in the US Botanical Gardens. This shoot was literally planned in 24 hrs. I didn’t even know I was stopping in DC till the day before. What a stunning place. If you haven’t been there it is a must! Located to the right of the Capital building, it is the perfect place to stop and tour.

My muse, Olivia, was up for the challenge and such a good sport. One thing I didn’t think about were the different climates of the gardens. Walking from section to section, you’re hit with humidity, mist, cool air, and heat. Which in DC is already an abundance. Luckily she has amazing curly hair so we were laughing that it was the perfect storm for those curls.

As we were leaving a jazz band was setting up in the outdoor gardens and drinks were being served. I could have stayed here all day. Hope you like this gallery.
