The Mount Engagement Session // Mac + Caroline
For the launch of my new website design, by the amazing Karima Creative, I did an engagement session giveaway at the Mount in Lenox, Ma.. I was blessed to have a couple vendor friends join in and it was quit the giveaway! Hair and Make up by True Beauty Company and a videography clip by Fyvie Films. You can see the clip here! What could couple wouldn’t want this?? The turn out was amazing and I was so happy with all the couples that applied. Fate would have it that Mac + Caroline were the lucky winners and when we talked I knew we would hit it off.
I had a precise idea of what I wanted to the shoot to look like. If you know me, you know I love a white building. I am not sure where my love of white houses came from or when it started. But, I know it was totally fueled by Martha Stewart and living in the Hamptons. If you ever drive out to East Hampton, NY, you will know what I mean.
The Mount was designed in 1902 for noted American author, Edith Wharton and her husband. They only spent about 10 years in this house, but while there she wrote some wonderful novels. Between the gardens and French/Italian influenced architecture, it is really stunning. The perfect place for an engagement shoot or chic wedding.
As far at the wardrobe…I was all about that. What girl doesn’t love to shop and style a shoot! Caroline was amazing and let me bounce ideas off her and was happy with my ideas. I went to Rent The Runway and picked out a few dresses. We ended up with 2 looks. A flirty, floral summer dress and an off the should Ralph Lauren cream cocktail dress accented with gold jewelry.
Mia from True Beauty Company did an amazing job with the hair and make up. An upswept hair do for the summer look which was perfection and could be taken down for the next look. The makeup was clean, chic and elegant. Perfect for an engagement shoot. I came to them with my ideas of venue and wardrobe and they knocked it out of the park with their ideas for glam. Always trust your vendors - they do this for a living and will not steer you in the wrong direction!
Below is the first look of the day in a fun Rachel Roy sun dress for Caroline and Mac wore a classic navy suit which was perfect.
This second look was more vixen vibes… and I am here for it 100%. I could have photographed this all day long.
I think the shoot was a total success! Thanks to everyone that helped and was a part of this!
