Sarah and Tyler hosted the most beautiful winter wedding at the Franklin Plaza in Troy, NY this Christmas. It was a dreamy day filled with lots of personal details and reminders of the winter season. Sarah absolutely loves Christmas, so it’s no surprise to me that she and Tyler chose December for their own wedding. I loved walking into her bridal suite in the morning of the big day to find little hints of Christmas - including the super fun holiday light inspired cups she was drinking out of! Some of my other favorite photos took place in the morning while I was with Sarah and her girls, too…. including one of Sarah in the bathtub with a bottle of champagne! Before the big day, she sent me some inspiration and ideas for fun photos. This bathtub shot was one of them! We were all so happy to see the beautiful tub in the bridal suite she was in and she was game to jump on in for the photo! It wound up being perfect.

In line with the holiday inspiration, Sarah and Tyler had beautiful emerald green, gold, and ivory details for their wedding day. I loved the bridesmaids’ dresses in green. Everyone looked absolutely beautiful! Sarah also carried a fur shawl, which we made sure to include in some of their portraits around Troy, NY. I really appreciated how they (and their bridal party) were so game to explore, even though it was a little chilly the day of the wedding.

Fun fact: Sarah and Tyler love the holidays and winter so much that they actually had two engagement sessions with me - one in the summer and one in the snow. Throughout the reception, they shared a lot of those snowy engagement photos in their welcome sign, frames, and guest book. It was super sweet! Sarah and Tyler brought even more personality to their reception, too. From a giant word search to a slalom shot board for guests to sign, it was a really great evening. They filled the hall at Franklin Plaza with so much greenery - it looked absolutely stunning!! At the end of the night Sarah sang The Backstreet Boys’ song, “Everybody” for everyone and it was a crowd pleaser! They even threw t-shirts at their guests - total concert vibes!

Congratulations, Sarah and Tyler. I loved every minute of your dreamy winter wedding at the Franklin Plaza! It was seriously a blast - and that’s an understatement.
