V + A WINTER WEDDING
I have been wanting to blog this wedding for a year…and today is the perfect day since it is Victoria and Andrew’s one year anniversary. I have had a year of family crisis - starting on 1.26.20…hence me not getting this blog up during last winters season. But today is the perfect day to blog this winter wonderland wedding - it is Victoria and Andrew’s one year anniversary!
Winter weddings are truly dreamy….especially in one of my favorite cities, Milwaukee. When Victoria reached out and asked if I would shoot their wedding, there was no way I would miss it. Victoria’s mom and I grew up together and they are the best of the best people. The type of family where you just can’t get enough of being with them. A family of magnets…I alway feel the pull…
Victoria is an accomplished equestrian (which fed into my Saratoga Springs soul) and a lover of the outdoors. I loved her spin on the wedding…She and Andrew wanted an industrial vibe for their special day, so they chose the Black Swan Riverwalk as their venue. It was the perfect local.
Their day was so stunning - a blizzard came out of no where and made it a winter wonderland. There is something so soothing being tucked away in a warm place watching the snow fall, as two loves promised themselves to each other. It might have been cold out there…but the room was warm with love (totally cheesy but true).
One of my favorite thing about the wedding were the florals. They were simply breathtaking. Deep hues of crimson and wine and the most extravagant bouquet ever - all by Jane Kelly Floral. She went above and beyond making it a romantic wonderland.
Here is a snippet of their evening winter wedding…Happy Anniversary V + A!
